Web Design and Development

The success of any web development and design project will depend upon a number of factors:

  • An attractive and consistent look and feel throughout the site
  • Design should be appropriate to the business in question
  • Pages should load quickly or visitors will lose interest
  • The site must be easy to navigate and accessible to the target audience
  • Avoid pages that are so 'busy' that they serve to distract
  • Use colours for effect but not to such an extent that the purpose is defeated or that pages appear 'loud'

AUA INSURANCE

AUA INSURANCE , an underwriting agency based in the City of London and part of the Allied Cedar Insurance group, needed a two-pronged approach to their site. On the one hand they wanted to be able to sell their specialist 'personal lines' policies to members of the public on-line and, on the other, they needed to provide resources and information about their commercial and household products to intermediaries.
